The theme for Randi's boy nursery was truly centered around several beautiful murals by Lauren Heinle featuring jungle animals. The rest of the room simply followed suit!

The corner where a monkey hangs from a tree was the perfect spot for this Hiya crib with natural sides.

 We chose a subtle blue fabric with brown accents for the window treatments. They look great when rolled up, and when fully extended for nap times:)

Lovely Lavender: An Elegant Nursery for Emma

I was so excited when Rachel and Justin chose lavender and pale pink as the color scheme for daughter Emma's nursery:) Lavender and pink are such classic colors for little girl's rooms, it was so much fun to update it a little and really make it their own. The room turned out great with plenty of special touches for soon-to-be-arriving baby Emma!

 The Provence Collection from Newport Cottages fit in perfectly with our design scheme, I love all the ruffled layers on Emma's new crib. The ribbons hanging the custom painted letters perfectly echo the pink ties on the crib.

We customized a Restoration Hardware pinboard to fit in with our color scheme using a lovely lavender fabric and pink grosgrain ribbon to hold photos.

One of my favorite elements in the room would have to be these mirrors that we hung from the wall using pink ribbon. Shannon came up with the amazing idea to cover the nail heads with little crystals;)

We couldn't have found a more perfect rug than this lavender one with white scallop detail. It helped tie the room together and was in keeping with our fun yet classic theme.

A Grandmother's Gift: Playful Patterns of Blue & Yellow

When Janelle called me to help design her granddaughter Taylor's room, 

I was so excited!

Janelle is a long-term customer and a wonderful person to work with.

We settled on using blues and yellows with more mature patterns, so that when her granddaughter isn't using the space it can easily be transformed into a guest room.

  Janelle wanted to be sure and include some whimsy into the space, so we added youthful artwork to the room. My favorite is the 'Dress Up, Dance, Giggle, Twirl, Play' canvas. All things a little girl should do!

A comfy room like this isn't complete without a custom glider! We used more fun patterns to really make this special reading corner stand out in the room.

The large window seat was a huge design feature, so we decided it needed a bright pop of yellow. We mixed the patterns on the pillows for more of the eclectic moment we had going throughout this room.

The furniture in the room is by Country Cottage and was custom made to our specifications. This beautiful desk was a definite highlight for me.

We left the sign that Janelle wrote for her granddaughter posted up near her bed so that she could see it during nap times. Nothing like a grandmother's love!

In other news...

Our newest project was just installed! Geri contacted me to help freshen up her home. She wished to keep her existing furniture but wanted to brighten up her space with a vibrant white and blue theme.

Modern Simplicity With A Little Sunshine

Modern Simplicity was the description that Sarah gave me when we first began to discuss creating this room. This was my second time working with Sarah. Our first room together was very bold and carried a distinct theme of murals throughout.

 This time, we used the subtly sweet theme of 'You are my sunshine.'

We found some inexpensive, simple white frames from Aaron Brothers to display artwork found on Etsy.com

The Devon Collection from Newport Cottages fit perfectly into our design concept. The white and grey color combination on his dresser was exactly what we needed for this room. We selected a larger dresser so that Parker will be able to grow with it.

A custom glider is always a Beach Bungalow Designs signature piece! We covered this one in a soft grey chenille - a texture that is comfy and classic.

The 'P' canvas was created by Lauren using a bold yellow chevron pattern. She glued on the wooden P for added dimension.

Custom bedding completed this look and added more color to the room. I love the buttercup ties!

All four walls were painted in a grey and white horizontal stripe. The stripes are a fun choice but are still subtle enough not to overpower this room.
