A Multi-functional Playroom with Flair!!

Pedder Home

For Elisabeth's playroom she knew she wanted a fun space for her kids to play and do homework, while also being a place for the whole family to be together.
We found some great ideas from our Inspiration Space

Fun colored furniture, bright patterns and over-sized chalkboard for the wall help keep this space kid friendly.

I love this double, sphered rustic chandelier and the unique element it brings into the room
(shadesoflight.com)
Gorgeous green grasscloth and a plush, white rug finish off this wonderful playroom and make it a place the whole family can enjoy:)

And as always, we are here at the Bungalow to help create your perfect play space whenever you need:)

Rockin' Out at the Bungalow

One of my favorite parts of designing children's room is finding the perfect rocker!
Often the most used piece in the space, rockers and gliders these days come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and styles.
Finding just the right one can be tough- check out some of the ones we liked!

Sophisticated Glam is trending now and is so much fun to implement into rooms for kids. I love the green trellis pattern on our custom chair on the left. And check out the chic pouf as an ottoman in the image on the right!
(roomtobloom.com)
Vintage furniture pieces can be great options for rockers, this soft blue color helps it look right at home in the space.

(kidsspacestuff.com)
Sleek and modern rockers are a fun option, they are an awesome go to especially when space is limited.

(oilo.com)
Love how this one is streamlined and cozy at the same time:)
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
Nothing says the perfect little girl's room like our pretty pink glider and tufted ottoman.
(landofnod.com)
The wood detail in this rocker really stands out in the room and gives it that special touch.
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, or you want something unique and specialized for your room- go custom! Our custom gliders are built exactly how you want. You choose the size, style and just the right fabric for the upholstery.
Such a special chair deserves a little extra attention:) When choosing yours give us a call at the Bungalow! We are always here to help!

Madelyn at The Plaza: A Glamorous Eloise-Inspired Bedroom

We're just as excited (maybe even a little more!) than Miss Eloise to finally reveal Madelyn's Eloise-inspired bedroom!
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
I'm loving every detail of this room! From the fun pink fabrics, to the sophisticated patterns in the rug- Maddie truly has her very own room at The Plaza:)
(Custom bedding Beach Bungalow Designs)
Designing Maddie's custom Newport Cottages upholstered daybed was tons of fun- and I just love the way her custom bedding looks against the velvet tufted headboard.

Lauren did an excellent job perfecting Maddie's personal monogram above her bed, and we are loving the alternating stripes she painted in pale pink and light raspberry!
(Custom murals by Lauren Heinle)
(Newport Cottages)
We used the Beverly Collection for Maddie's bookshelf and dresser, the finishes are just the right colors!
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
(Newport Cottages dresser, Art For Kids Barbie Prints)
For those extra touches of glamour we chose four AFK Barbie prints in gold frames. Then added two smaller frames with bows and rhinestones in a pretty print.

(Beach Bungalow Designs)
An elegant black chandelier and patterned rug help tie the room together and bring out the silk ribbon detailing on the comforter.
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
It was a pleasure creating a room inspired by Eloise and fit for a sweet little girl like Maddie! We hope you enjoyed the final reveal!

Chase's Aquatic Adventure

This week was double the fun with a double installation for Elisabeth's children, Chase and Madelyn. Last week you saw a sneak peak of Maddie's Eloise inspired room, now you can see Chase's finished Ocean Adventure themed room!
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
I love the bright, underwater feel of this paint color! A fun mixture of softer blues, greys and whites really makes this room stand out!
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
Chase was sure about wanting a bunk bed, and this one from Newport Cottages comes in the perfect finish. One of my favorite pieces is the rowboat bookcase, its' unusual shape provides a lot of interest as well as plenty of storage.
(Newport Cottages)
Lauren painted this sweet and sophisticated monogram on the wall, it looks great just off-center and above Chase's new dresser.
(Lauren Heinle Murals)
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
Don't forget the details! The colors in this wonderful whale painting perfectly echo the room. And Chase's new personalized step stool is another great touch to combine our colors as well as the fun patterns in the room.

(Custom painting by Lauren Heinle)
Chase and his family will love hanging out in his underwater oasis room! Especially with this comfy reading chair with a custom mini-lumbar pillow.
(Beach Bungalow Designs)
I love this vintage-looking steamer trunk for extra storage!

The room came together perfectly! And it's always a joy working with such a great family:) Check back next week for the unveiling of Maddie's Eloise Room!
